Satnam Singh Manak became the President of Punjab Press Club with an overwhelming majority,

Jalandhar, (Amit): Prominent journalist Satnam Singh Manak was elected President of Punjab Press Club Jalandhar for the next two years by an overwhelming majority at its annual general meeting. The session at the local Red Cross Bhawan began with a tribute to the late President of the Punjab Press Club Major Singh and other journalists killed in the Corona pandemic. On this occasion former president of the club Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal also presented a report on the past performance of the club and made public the financial accounts. On this occasion various journalists while reviewing the work done by the managing committee of the club in the past highlighted various shortcomings and also gave suggestions to the committee for the betterment of the club and the journalists.

On this occasion, Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal answered every point and question raised by various journalists with great poise and logic. He said that acts which could tarnish the image of the club could not be tolerated at any cost and he would not back down even if he had to take tough decisions in this regard. On this occasion Mr. Satnam Singh Manak called on the former president of the club Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal Appreciating the contribution made by the entire team under the leadership of Lakhwinder Singh Johal for the betterment of Punjab Press Club, Dr. Johal has dedicated many precious years of his life to the club and has done a lot for the welfare of journalists. Describing the issues and suggestions raised by various journalists as part of a strong democracy, he said that everyone has the right to have their say but the discussion should be positive and constructive. Later assuming charge of the Punjab Press Club in the presence of a large number of members, satnam singh manak said that for the betterment of the journalists and strengthening of the club, he would take all the members with him and would try his best to ensure that journalists in the club No problem. On this occasion, Dr. Kamlesh Singh Duggal, Kuldeep Singh Bedi, Paramjit Singh Rangpuri, I.P. Singh, Malkit Singh Brar, Shiv Sharma, Rajesh Yogi, Rohit Sidhu and Rakesh Suri among others. On this occasion prominent personalities of the media world congratulated Mr. Satnam Singh Manak on his election as the President of Punjab Press Club.

Following the election of the President of the Punjab Press Club by an overwhelming majority and the assumption of office, the eminent journalist Mr. Satnam Singh Manak has announced the new office bearers using the powers vested in him by the General House of the Punjab Press Club. The new team of office bearers of the club includes Satnam Singh Manak President, General Secretary Manoj Tripathi, Senior Vice President Pal Singh Nauli, Vice President Pankaj Kumar Rai and Rajesh Sharma (Tinku Pandit), Joint Secretary Tejinder Kaur Thind and position of Treasurer has been handed over to shiv Sharma.

On the occasion Mr. Satnam Singh Manak hoped that the newly appointed office bearers would fulfill their responsibilities to the fullest and would work for further improvement in the functioning of the club. He said the members of the advisory committee would be announced in the next few days.
