Jalandhar (October 18): The first meeting of the new office bearers of Punjab Press Club was held today under the chairmanship of Club President Satnam Singh Manak. In the meeting all the office bearers congratulated Satnam Singh Manak on becoming the President. On this occasion the office bearers of the club discussed on further improving the working of the club. The meeting agreed to renovate the library as soon as possible keeping in view the problems of the club members and field journalists. Apart from this in today’s meeting the following decisions were taken for the betterment of the club: –
* The library of the club will be opened for the reading and writing of the members as soon as possible.
* The renovation work of the library will be started and completed as soon as possible.
* New shelves will be provided to improve the maintenance of books in the library.
* Better steps will be taken for the maintenance and protection of books.
The meeting was attended by General Secretary Manoj Tripathi, Senior Vice President Pal Singh Nauli, Vice President Rajesh Sharma (Tinku) and Pankaj Rai, Joint Secretary Tajinder Kaur and Treasurer Shiv Sharma.
